New Year gingerbread cookies – recipe

Also, you will need these ingredients:
- 750 g flour
- 1 baking powder
- 5 g powdered ginger
- 3 g of powdered nutmeg
- 2 g of cinnamon
- 205 g butter room temperature
- 235 ml honey
- 220 g brown sugar
- 120 ml water
- 1 egg
- a few drops of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon crushed cloves
Mix the flour, baking powder, ginger, nuts, cinnamon and cloves in a large bowl. Separately mix the butter, honey, sugar, water, egg and vanilla extract with electric mixer until you make a beautiful and uniform mass. Slowly pour the mixture into the pan with dry ingredients, so you’ll pour a little bit, and make a nice mix. At the end the mixture is very firm, and it must be divided into smaller balls (2-3) wrapped in foil and leave in the refrigerator for about 3 h to rest. After that, Christmas gingerbread cookies have their basis. The dough must be good dusted with flour so it does not be glued on the table and to be possible to remove the cookies in the holiday forms. Gingerbread cookies must be set on baking paper and baked at 347 F, about 15 minutes.
Gingerbread cookies – frosting
This is perhaps the most important part when you are making these cookies. We recommend only natural ingredients so the glaze is very simple: Mix powdered sugar with a few drops of lemon to get a nice slurry. If desired, divide weight in multiple containers, and add food coloring to the painted.
