Floating Christmas tree from a cardboard

If you got bored by the traditional Christmas trees and you are looking for a new idea that will delight your loved ones and your guests, see this simple way to make a floating Christmas tree from a cardboard for a few minutes.

Required material:

  • Thick cardboard with dimensions of your choice
  • Spray paint
  • Ruler
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • Green sticky tape
  • Silicone thread
  • Silicone adhesive
  • Metal hook
  • Christmas ornaments and lights

Method of preparation:

Cut a few circles from the cardboard. Place the cardboard piece on a flat surface. With the help of a needle, attach one end of the thread in the central part of the cardboard piece. Measuring from the center, make a mark with a marker every five centimeters, and then, using a thread also mark the inner circles. Cut them using scissors. Now paint the circles. Paint one side of the tree in a dark shade of green and leave it to dry. Repeat this step on the other side of the cardboard circles, but here you will paint in a bright shade of green. Fur the ends of the circles with green tape.

Attach a metal hook on the ceiling or another convenient location where you want to hang on your tree. Make eight holes on each cardboard piece and then insert silicone thread through each one of them, arranging circles at equal distances, starting from the smallest to the largest piece. With the silicone adhesive tighten up the circles so that they can’t fall down. The last thing you have to do is to decorate your Christmas tree. You can make some decorations on your own, or you can buy some ornaments. Place some lights on the tree or for an even greater effect light up the Christmas tree with a lamp.
